MIKE PLACKETT
Owner Quantum Engineering Inc, Corvalis, Oregon. Quantum Engineering has teamed with Connor Marine on many projects. Mike's prior experience with the Navy SES3000 was critical to the GT185 project. Connor Marine and Quantum each played important roles as team members to the military Logistics Over The Shore program which included the Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Navy and U.S. Army working together at the NASA Cape Canaveral facility.
ALLAN BROWN
A pioneer in Performance Deep V hulls and Catamarans, Mr Brown [Brownie] offers a background that reads like the Who's Who of the performance boat industry. He has designed and built boats from concept to completion for companies such as Magnum, Cougar Marine, Cigarette, Cary Marine, Nova Marine, Donzi and more. Brownie has built from every medium including carbon and aluminum.
Brownie built or maintained offshore racing powerboats which won 33 consecutive national offshore racing events. He has also modernized and lightened existing boats and has written owner/operator manuals for Connor Marine. Brownie was engaged in the research, design and model testing of the GT185 transatlantic SES Catamaran. He was an original founder and chairman of the American Power Boat Association and former delegate to the Union of International Motor Boating Offshore Commission.
